Meet Volunteer Sign-Up Opens Tomorrow!

Hello Frogger Families!

We hope your swimmers are enjoying the start of the Froggers season! We wanted to reach out to let you know that we will be opening up our volunteer sign up for the 2024 meets tomorrow at 10 AM! We are excited to kick off our meets with Time Trials next weekend. As you know, we rely on parent’s participation to run successful swim meets and our Froggers season is made possible by all of us working together.

Based on the number of swimmers on our team and the number of jobs needed to run our meets, each Froggger family will need to complete 18 volunteer points this season. Tadpole only families need to complete 9 volunteer points. We encourage everyone to get signed up for all of their points early on so you can be sure to grab your favorite jobs and fulfill this team obligation.

Fulfilling your job requirements for the season are mandatory. It is our swim team policy that families who do not fulfill their volunteer requirements will not be considered in good standing and will not be allowed to register their family the following year unless they pay an additional fee that will start at $150 + $5 for each volunteer point not worked. This fee will be in addition to the registration fees. We realize things happen but we need you to either work or find someone to fulfill your duties.

Once you experience a swim meet you will soon realize how important parents’ involvement is and is needed to make the meet a success. When you look for volunteer jobs you will notice there are jobs available to help before, during and after meets.

  • Jobs like Starter, Referee and Stroke & Turn Judges require additional training. If you are able to do any of these please let me know. We are always looking for more judges.
  • All other jobs are open to everybody. Most jobs you will notice have more than 1 person working at a time so you will not be doing it alone. Even though there is Job Description document there will also be someone available to give additional detail at the time of the meet.
  • You will receive a reminder from me the day of the meet about the details of the swim meet and job notifications.

To sign up for Volunteer Jobs please check out the Froggers website here (job sign ups will open tomorrow at 10 AM): https://lrfroggers.swimtopia.com/swim_meets
